Miriam is a breast surgical oncologist and a leading voice in advancing cancer care across Africa. Her work is grounded in patient advocacy, early detection, and access — and in building systems that strengthen oncology care for women across the continent.
As President of AORTIC (African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer), she champions collaboration across countries, specialties, and communities to improve treatment, training, and support for patients and clinicians. Her voice in cancer care is both clinical and deeply human.
